Return Policy
The foregoing conditions apply with respect to standard returns. Please review the foregoing for more information regarding faulty merchandise and your right of withdrawal:
1. At the outset, please note that Rootsense (hereinafter ‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘our’) does not offer refunds for the products sold by us. All rootsense.in purchases can be returned within 48 hours of receiving their delivery (some exceptions may apply). For a product to be eligible for a return, it must be in the condition in which it was when it was dispatched along with the complete accessories included, and in the original packaging, which must also be in a resaleable condition.
2. ACCEPTABLE REASONS FOR RETURNS AND REPLACEMENTS
Requests for returns or replacements will exclusively be considered under the following circumstances:
• Defective Products: If the customer has received a product that is defective.
• Incorrect Items Shipped: If the customer has received an incorrect product (product different from the one for which the order was placed) or if the product they received does not match the description of product they ordered.
(Please note that all of our products are meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, each one individually made. This artisanal approach ensures that every piece is distinctive and one-of-a-kind. As a result of this artisanal process, it is possible that there may be minor variations in colour tone, shape, or size between products. Such variations are not considered as defects and, therefore, do not qualify for returns or replacements. We celebrate the uniqueness of each item crafted by our artisans and appreciate your understanding of this aspect of our craftsmanship.)
3. To request a return or replacement of a product, customers must notify us within 48 hours of receiving their delivery. For any return or replacement requests, we urge our customers to adhere to the foregoing:
Send an e-mail requesting for return/ replacement by providing the following information:
1. Order ID
2. Picture/ Video of the product
3. Delivery Address
4. Reason for returning the product
(Please note that, any correspondence made after 48 hours from the time of delivery will not be eligible for returns or replacements and, therefore, such request may not be considered. We appreciate your understanding in this matter as it helps us ensure a time bound and efficient resolution process.)
4. After 48 hours of receiving the delivery, you can still return or replace the items with Rootsense’s approval if the items meet the return criteria stated hereinabove. Such a request made after 48 hours of receiving the delivery shall only be considered at the sole discretion of Rootsense and we reserve the right not to agree to the return or replacement.
5. Product replacements shall only be delivered to the address provided by you during your initial order. These details will be provided with the delivery package containing your order or in the Dispatch Confirmation email.
6. Product(s) that you wish to return must be in perfect condition with all the tags attached and must be accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. All returned products are sent at your own risk.
7. In the event of a genuine defect in the product, or in case the customer wishes to return the product for any other reason acceptable by Rootsense we are pleased to offer two options:
● You may get the defective product replaced with a product of the same kind.
● Alternatively, you have an option of availing a store credit note equivalent to the value of the returned item(s), allowing you to make another purchase from our website. Please note that any shipping charges paid at the time of placing the original order are nonrefundable. Your store credit can be used to shop any other items available on our website.
(It is reiterated that we do not offer refunds on the products already delivered by us to our customers. As mentioned above, the customer has an alternative option of availing a store credit note equivalent to the value of the returned item(s). Please note that the value of the store credit note against a returned product is subject to the condition of the product (the product should be in the same condition as it was when it was dispatched from our warehouse), condition of the packaging and whether it is accompanied by the original receipts. In case the product is damaged/ partially damaged or is in a condition where it is not fit for resale or in case the packaging of the product is damaged, Rootsense reserves its right to reject issuance of a store credit note in full or partly. Please further note the process of issuance of a store credit note takes 7-10 working days from the time the product is collected from the provided address. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will do our best to resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.)
8. No provisions within this policy shall affect your statutory consumer rights. All returns of products shall be governed under the Sale of Goods Act, 1930.
9. Certain goods may not be suitable for returns. In the event that a product is not suitable for returning, please refer to your order confirmation email and you will be advised as to how your refund in the form of a store credit note may be processed in accordance with the policies and procedures set out therein.
10.APPLICABLE LAW
10.1. By visiting rootsense.in, you agree that the laws of India, under the jurisdiction of the Courts at New Delhi, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern this Return Policy and any dispute of any sort that might arise between rootsense.in (or its affiliates) and you.
11.DISPUTES RESOLUTION
11.1. You agree that all disputes arising out of or in connection with Rootsense or rootsense.in shall in the first instance be referred to the designated representatives mutually appointed by the parties (Rootsense and you) to settle by way of amicable discussions or negotiations. In the event the parties are unable to arrive at a settlement within a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of reference of the dispute to the designated representatives, such dispute shall be settled by a sole arbitrator selected by mutual consent of the Parties. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 or any amendment thereof for the time being in force. The award of the arbitrator shall be a reasoned award and shall be final and binding on the parties. The venue and seat of arbitration will be at New Delhi. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted and the award shall be rendered in English language. Each party shall bear its own costs relating to such arbitration, and the parties shall equally share the arbitrator’s fees. Nothing shall preclude Rootsense from seeking interim or permanent equitable or injunctive relief, or both, from any court having jurisdiction to grant the same.
